So you don't have your own lady's maid to lace up that corset for you? Well this is the answer! First in use in the mid 19th Century, a busk allows you to get into and out of a corset without having to undo the lacing at the back.
These busks are made from plastic coated, stainless steel and are designed to be sewn into the corset. They come in various lengths and have silver-coloured studs. The last two studs on every busk are spaced slightly closer together to provide extra strength and support around the stomach.
